It was held at IIEST, Shibpur, Howrah on Mar 22 & 23, 2025. The workshop was for senior students in the Department of Architecture. It was coordinated by the departmental faculty members, Dr. Soumen Mitra and Dr. Mouli Majumdar.
Our six Origamists, Bipradas Chatterjee, Soumen Paul, Santa Ghosh, Sampreet Manna, Debopom Chatterjee, and Madhura Gupta, conducted the workshop.
Origami expert Ankon Mitra was also invited to share his expertise.
It went very well. The students appreciated the hands-on classes. The experts also loved the enthusiasm of the students.
Friendly Competition
At the end of the 2nd day, the students were divided into 7 groups - 5 in each group. The theme for the competition was
Design an envelope of a riverfront cafeteria
The best design was selected by the judges. The winners of that group received small token prizes - Amazon gift cards.
